Wrapped up this nice pair of centerpiece coin trays this week. I made a set like these once before, and I still like them just as much! Careful wood selection plus the added detail of the binding and integral “feet” really make these stand out. Figured maple and walnut with ebony accents. #coincollectorsofinstagram

It’s been a while since my last Caturday video! A nice type 1 gold dollar was elusive for me when I was putting together my type set. I like this 1854 as a better date, and in 64 it’s a fantastic looking little coin. I couldn’t help but pull the trigger on this one, but just to admire and pass it along. Asking $1325 shipped. I also have a fancy walnut 6-slab coin tray in reserve if you want to make it a bundle. 😎 #coincollectorsofinstagram #coinsofinstagram

Wenge splinters are no fun. Please don’t order things made out of wenge from me. Stephen is grandfathered in. 😂 #coincollectorsofinstagram

Making good progress on my collector’s desk. These cameos on the tops of the legs were worth the effort and will really frame the piece. Alongside the inlaid ebony string, cuffs, beading, and banding (ALL the things!) this desk is going to have plenty of detail to appreciate. Special thanks to @strathamwoodstudios for expert guidance in learning many of these techniques. Will continue to post updates on the desk! #coincollectorsofinstagram
